Sri Lankan tea trip・・・No.7

Tea Factory in Nuwara Eliya - Tea is being made at midnight I got up at 4:30 in the morning and moved from the Tea Factory hotel to see the tea being made . It was still dark when we left the hotel. . . . . At the factory, tea processing starts around 2:00 am, so if the tea leaves are not harvested enough, the work will be finished by 6:00 in the morning. . Recently, the harvest has been low, and I was contacted by the factory to come early. When you enter the factory, you can smell a pleasant green scent that reminds you of being in a forest, or of a fruit or flower garden nearby. . . . In this factory, the refreshing scent of Nuwara Eliya is the most important thing to make, and there is no fermentation process. Even so, it does not turn into green tea, but it is properly rolled and further screwed with a rotor van, so the leaf juice comes out firmly, sifting, and oxidation fermentation progresses while going to drying, so it is just right. It becomes the finish. Greenish, flowery, fruity and freshness, sweetness and comfort are combined to create a fragrance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The tea from this factory is now on board for Japan. It is scheduled to arrive at the port of Tokyo around the 10th of the month. . . . We have a shipment of freshly brewed tea. Please wait for a while until the release. . . . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The factory manager never smiles, but before coming here (a different factory I was in) acquaintance. He's been with us for 20 years. When I gave him some Japanese yokan as a souvenir, he said with a smile, "I've gotten it before and I like it." Tea and sweets have power!
