Sri Lankan Tea Training・・・No. 2 Friendship Project
10th anniversary books donated schools: 101 schools
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Kirin Friendship Project, a project to donate books to tea garden schools, and 101 schools have donated books. A ceremony was held on the 15th to donate books to a school in a tea plantation near Kandy.
We invited 3 principals, 3 vice-principals, and 3 students from 20 schools to the donation ceremony. They came to the venue early in the morning by bus or on foot, and they were very happy. Since they are here early in the morning, we will prepare welcome tea and serve sandwiches and sweets.
Bookcase keys, books, and souvenirs were presented to teachers and students from 20 schools.
One school is only two years old, has no supplies, almost no facilities,
For 80 students, this is the first book,
The principal was overjoyed with tears in his eyes. . . Originally, the purpose was to express my gratitude to the tea pickers (mothers), but I realized that what the mothers were most happy about was for their children to study at school and gain knowledge. It all started when I made it into a book that children would enjoy. . .
I would be happy if the children could feel gratitude to their mothers while reading the book!
