スリランカ紅茶の旅・No.5

Sri Lanka Tea Trip No. 5

The rainy season won't end

It was drizzling when I got up in the morning.

Like the tea gardens in Nuwara Eliya last week.

The difference is that the fog that descends from the top of the mountain quickly covers the tea garden and moistens the tea leaves, but the fog quickly clears and this time the clear blue sky and the sun shines. It's coming.

The tea pickers, who were not visible due to the fog, can now be seen in sari colors such as red, yellow, and blue.

The people on the tour also stick to the tea pickers and talk to them with gestures.

There was laughter here and there as to what was going on.

There are many places like steep cliffs, and it is quite dangerous work. About 18 to 20 kg is harvested in a day.

Mist comes from above.

The tea picker gets wet with the tea leaves.

The tea leaves will become black tea tomorrow morning .
