Report from Ranjit this morning! The ship sailed from Colombo on the 7th!
There was a strike by tea pickers, so the quality, price, and quantity of tea after that was more difficult than ever before.
What's more, this time, the container will be twice as large as usual, so I had a hard time finding out whether it would fit the amount of tea I was buying. A new tea export regime will come into effect on October 1st and special permits must be obtained to buy freshly brewed tea at private sales.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This morning, Mr. Ranjit gave a little excited report.
A wage strike by tea pickers in early September triggered a new system, and it seems that he had a hard time dealing with tea prices and production volume. . . . Thank you for your hard work!
The ship will arrive at the port of Tokyo in about two weeks. UVA was the most particular about the quality of the new tea this time. It is a gem that I would like to recommend to everyone in the last few years. . I can't wait for it to arrive!
Thank you to the weather in Sri Lanka, the tea pickers, and Ranjit, who gave birth to this new tea, to James Taylor, the god of tea!
