Ranjit to school in Nuwara Eliya
I received a call from Mr. Ranjit this morning.
"Sri Lanka has entered the rainy season." Well, there is no rainy season!
"Oh, it was the wrong monsoon."
Last week it rained heavily in Colombo.
It seems that the rainy season has come quite early due to abnormal weather.
The monsoon that blows from the Indian Ocean from July to August usually brings rain, but it seems to be more than a month earlier.
Mr. Clay, a friend of mine, was unable to return home for three days due to flooding near his home.
However, Nuwara Eliya around 1800 meters above sea level, around Pedro, and Uva area along the Bay of Bengal are said to be sunny.
Yesterday, she went to school in Nuwara Eliya to prepare for the tea tour in July.
It is said that 500 students will be waiting at the school in the tea garden. I'm looking forward to it.
