I have participated in Isobuchi's Sri Lanka tour twice so far.
By visiting tea plantations in Sri Lanka, I became even more captivated by the world of black tea.
I was moved by the smiles of the tea-picking women at work, and my heart was pounding as I tasted the freshly brewed tea in the factory.
The picture above is the tasting cup .
How to taste Put 3 grams of tea leaves into a tasting cup, then pour 150 cc of hot water and let it brew for 3 minutes.
After that, transfer the tea liquid to the bowl shown on the right side of the photo.
The used tea leaves left on the bottom of the cup are put on the back side of the lid and set as shown on the left side of the photo to determine the shape and aroma.
And start tasting.
To check the taste, scoop the tea liquid with a spoon and inhale the tea liquid all the way along with the air. To confirm the light blue color, look at the color of the tea liquid in the bowl.
The scent is identified by putting your nose close to the scent remaining in the tea leaves and cup.
This is tea tasting.
Why don't you use this method to appraise your favorite black tea or new tea at home?
Tasting cups are sold at the online shop .
The beautiful scenery of the production area and the smiles of the people working there left me feeling more energetic when I returned to Japan than when I left.
