I went to Kyoto on a fine autumn day, but I was only there for five hours, which was a disappointment. At the venue, it was a dream party with Professor Sakae Kadoyama, Professor Yasumasa Araki, and Professor Kanzo Sakata. Tsunoyama-sensei and I were together at the tea festival in Shizuoka, but this is the first reunion with Araki-sensei in more than ten years. It's been a long time since I've warmed up with an old friend. I hadn't seen Jane in a long time, but when I met her, I felt as if I had met her a month ago. Like with Dr. Araki, the communication that tea creates really deepens our sense of intimacy, and whenever we meet, we share feelings. . . . . Takiguchi-sensei's story of tea from the 17th to 19th centuries, reminiscent of fairy tales, also enthralled the audience.
