Today is the 4th day of Isobuchi's Sri Lanka tour .
Today we will leave the ancient city of Kandy and enter the high altitude area of "Nuwara Eliya" .
Each production area in Sri Lanka is divided into 3 divisions according to the altitude.
"High-grown" 1200m ~ "Middle-grown" 600m-1200m "Low-grown" ~ 600m Depending on the altitude difference, the character of black tea will change.
“Nuwara Eliya” where we stay today is located in High Grown.
This high altitude Nuwara area has a "quality season" from January to February, when the quality is much better, and the pleasant astringency and fragrance increase even more.
The photo above is the "Tea Factory Hotel" , which was an old tea factory that was converted into a hotel.
The hotel is built on a small hill in a tea garden, and you can see the green tea plantation from the window.
The view of the misty tea garden before dawn is fantastic and still remains in my memory.
"One night surrounded by tea plantations..." It's a luxurious time.
