Visiting Teapots...To Gifu and Tajimi

It's been a warm and calm day this week.

I hope it stays warm for the 3 consecutive holidays!

This Monday, for the first time in a while, Koyama and I went to Gifu to visit the pottery of the original Isobuchi teapot !

Mt.Fuji from Shinkansen

To get to Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture, transfer from Nagoya to the Chuo Line.

Arrive at Nagoya Station! The next station is... Before that, have a little stomach ♪ Kishimen shop at the station

First, to Mr. Arizuki Pottery, who is indebted to us for our teapots.

There must be thousands in the showroom, there were a lot of tableware. There is also a teapot in the showroom I was very curious to see something I had seen somewhere!

Next, we visited a factory that actually makes teapots.

Fresh teapot!

When you arrive, there is a teapot in front of the big kiln!

A large kiln holds 500-700 teapots at a time.

It's a big kiln

I was very impressed to see the teapots made here one by one. There were also lids in the back.

As was the case with the tea factory in Sri Lanka, I felt the warmth and warmth of the human hands involved in making things.

A very easy to use original teapot.

Please use it for your tea time! 《Bonus》 Since it was a day trip, we enjoyed Nagoya specialties on the way back on the Shinkansen! Nagoya specialty on parade! !
