It seems that everyone on the tour arrived safely in Darjeeling last night without anyone getting sick. At dawn, today we finally head to Junpana Tea Plantation. Since we can only go halfway by car, we will walk the mountain road and aim for the tea garden. I've only seen it in pictures, but the scenery of the tea garden on the steep slope, the experience of tea picking, the scent of freshly picked tea... imagining it makes me want to drink Darjeeling. It's still a long way off from when the autumn harvest will arrive in Japan, but I'm looking forward to it while drinking a second flush. I will stay in Darjeeling today and will return to Delhi in about a day tomorrow. After sightseeing in the city on Saturday, I will return to Japan, but on Sunday, when I am scheduled to arrive, there is another typhoon forecast in Japan.
