Children at the school in the tea plantation - a picture of gratitude
No matter how many times I go, no matter how many times I see it, my heart still tingles whenever I visit a school in a tea garden with small children. . .
Maybe it's because it reminds me of my childhood, or because it reminds me of my parents.
Children stare with big eyes and hold out their small hands to shake hands. Thin fingers, cold hands, slightly dirty and sticky hands, they all grasped with strength and heart. 20, 30 people are still coming out.
As a thank you for the gifts of books and stationery, they drew a picture for me. It is a picture of the joy that the conflict of terrorism was completely resolved and became peaceful. They are Tamil children. It expresses the joy of peace by spending time on a piece of paper. What did you think while drawing? . . . .
Everyone sang a song to say goodbye. "Let's go to school together, let's study together. Little birds, dogs, and cows. Let's all go to school together." Mother may have stopped picking tea and looked up for a moment.
