スリランカ紅茶紀行・・・No.6

Sri Lankan Tea Trip・・・No.6

Only for the children... Even for the men alone, it's tea time

Sri Lankan sugar is coarse like Japanese coarse sugar. Because of that, even if you add 3-4 teaspoons of it to your tea, it's not sweet enough to make you scratch your head. This is also difficult to dissolve in tea, so everyone stirs it many times with a spoon. . .

Even a small child is stirring while overflowing so much that it seems that black tea is to be stirred before drinking.

The chocolate cake served at the Love Carry tea center in Nuwara Eliya is really delicious and exquisite. It's not the heavy, soft, melty cake made by a famous pastry chef, it's full of air bubbles and has the texture of a rustic Japanese cake from about 40 years ago.

I thought it was just me, but everyone on the tour said it was really delicious. Of course, it may be delicious to eat with this freshly made tea. .

By the way, at Dimbura, we have obtained the recipe for this chocolate cake and are selling "Chocolate Chocolate Cake".
