Sri Lankan Tea Travel No.5

On the way back to Colombo, we left Bandarawela early in the morning.

Dunbatten built by Thomas Lipton in 1890

We visited a tea factory (Uva).

When you enter the factory, you can smell the faint scent of mint.

The factory manager is a little early, but the seasonal wind has already started to blow.

"Pangency's tea is starting to be made," he said.

It's been a long time since I heard the word "Pangency".

Pungency (an appraisal term for black tea, pleasant and stimulating astringency,

Used during Uva's quality season)

Although there is little rain, the tea leaves are growing well and the production volume is secured.

That's what I'm talking about.

It seems that it will be a season tea in about a week. . .

I had a freshly made uva. .
