スリランカ紅茶紀行 第3日

Sri Lanka Tea Trip Day 3

Sorry to keep you waiting! I will report the state of the tour again from Sri Lanka. On the third day of the tour, the group took a bus to Rurakondera in the suburbs of Kandy. When I visited the tea garden school, the children welcomed me with a sparkling smile! The girls pictured above won the Kandy District Cricket Tournament! The cricket equipment was donated by Kirin upon request. It's wonderful to be able to connect the children of Sri Lanka's tea gardens with us in Japan. I am a tea picker at a tea garden. This is the view from the bench where James Taylor was sitting, thinking of his hometown. How did Taylor feel when he looked at this scenery? This is the grave where James Taylor rests. After that, go back to the city of Kandy and have tea time with local milk tea "Kirite" which is often drunk by locals. It seems that the sweet milk tea with plenty of bubbles and the spicy rolls are a perfect combination! On the fourth day of the tour, travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya. Today, the 5th day of the tour, the tea tour has finally reached its climax, including a tea picking experience at a tea plantation in Nuwara Eliya and a tour of a tea factory. Please look forward to the next report! !
