Sri Lankan Tea Training - Final Lipton Bungalow
The west side of the mountains (Indian Ocean side) is in the dry season, but the east side of the Uva region (Bengal Bay) is in the rainy season from January to February. In the early morning of the 18th, I headed for Thomas Lipton's bungalow, where I bought a tea plantation in the Uva district, in a light rain.
In 1890, when he was 40 years old, he visited Ceylon and bought a large number of tea gardens. Among them, the Dunbateng Tea Plantation in Uva was his favorite tea plantation, and he built English style gardens and bungalows there. Overlooking the valley in the distance, it is said to be one of the most beautiful bungalows in Sri Lanka. ～～～～～～～～～
