Sri Lanka Tea Trip No. 6

Tea party at Lipton's Bungalow

In 1890, at the age of 40, Thomas Lipton came to Dambaten, Uva and had his own tea garden.

The tea fetched a record high price at the auction in London the following year, and Uva's tea was named one of the world's top three teas.

Early in the morning on July 12th we followed Lipton's trail to his tea factory.

So, I appraised the tea that was made this morning, and then went to the Lipton bungalow in this photo.

A sandwich made with cream cheese, tomato, and red pepper. .

I ate 3 or 4 without thinking. And freshly brewed Uva tea. A fresh taste and aroma, a flavor that can only be tasted here. .

Everyone was equally touched and moved.

On the way home, the fog covered everything again, and the vivid scenery I saw earlier seemed like a movie.
