Tea time at the tea road rest house
National Highway 1 towards Kandy is a tea road that carries tea to the port of Colombo.
The road was built around 1860 from England using steam-powered road construction rollers and elephants.
Along the road is a rest house built by an Englishman.
Add powdered milk for black tea, add plenty of coarse sugar that is less sweet, and drink tea with milk. . .
After entering the city of Kandy, I visited the grave of James Taylor , the god of tea. A pleasant breeze blows through the silent silence.
When I hold my hands together and think of the tailor, my heart is strangely warmed up.
Not just me, but everyone here.
The tailor is now dead, but he continues to live in our hearts.
