On the 16th of last week, a party hosted by the Embassy of Sri Lanka was held at the Hilton Tokyo.
Isobuchi rarely attends such meetings, but I was acquainted with the current ambassador, Mr. Ranjith Uyangoda, and I accompanied him.
Since it was after the "FOODEX" held at Makuhari Messe until the 16th, I was able to meet many people involved in tea, and I was able to spend a very meaningful time.
In the meantime, I happened to meet Mr. and Mrs. Ishii, who were students of Isobuchi who opened a shop in Yokohama three years ago!
The name of the shop is "Sinha" .
Both of them were students of the tea class in Isobuchi, and they had a honeymoon trip to Sri Lanka in the summer of 1999. It is a deep relationship.
However, since the shop opened 24/7, we haven't had many chances to meet each other, so it was a reunion for the first time in a long time!
In addition, "Sinha" also conducts Sri Lanka tours.
