スリランカは今日4月14日・お正月です!

Today is April 14th, New Year's Day in Sri Lanka!

Sri Lanka celebrates the New Year at 3:15pm today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This morning, I received a phone call from Mr. Ranjit from Sri Lanka. In an unusually bright voice, I said, "Mr. Isobuchi, I'm sorry at this time, but today is the New Year in Sri Lanka." that's right. The year 2010 ends at 6:37 this morning, and until 3:15 in the afternoon, it is neither the previous year nor the new year. Strange for us, but normal for the Ranjit family. At 3:15 p.m., he celebrates by eating his wife's homemade milk rice. After that, they will be busy visiting their neighbors, giving presents of sweets, setting off firecrackers, and visiting their parents. But it sounded like fun. Recently, I have been heartbroken by the disaster in Japan, so I heard Ranjit's cheerful voice for the first time in a long time. . . . . . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dimbra has been preparing strawberry jam since morning, and the chocolate chocolate cake is baked and sweet. There is a nice scent in the air. Chocolate Chocolate Cake is baked according to a recipe from a Tea Center in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. The rustic taste is very popular, and it is now an important product of Dimbula.
