Tea plantations in Sri Lanka: Labor improvement for tea pickers

Tea Picker's Strike at Sri Lankan Tea Plantation

I spoke with Mr. Ranjit on the phone this morning, and he said that he is currently on strike in negotiations over the wages of the tea pickers from the tea plantations in Sri Lanka. . . .

It was originally scheduled for 3 days, but it was extended to 10 days because the request for double the current wage was not accepted. Tea production has stopped. Ranjit was also perplexed as it was the autumn and winter tea buying season. It seems that it is raining these days, and there are few sunny days.

I was asked, "Do you have autumn weather in Japan?" I want to see a clear autumn sky this weekend.
