Kirin Beverage Begins Support and Donates Books to Children in Tea Plantations in Sri Lanka
A project to donate books to a school in a tea plantation in Sri Lanka was born from the Kirin Beverage Gogo-no- Kocha Project, and has recently come to fruition. I visited
During the meeting with Ambassador Ranjit Ouyangoda , we reported that we would start with three schools this year, gradually increase the number of books donated each year, and increase the number of schools that donate books.
Kirin Beverage uses a large amount of Sri Lankan black tea for its Gogo-no-Kocha. It is my wish to protect the tea of the future.
The Sri Lankan ambassador thanked us for saying that buying a lot of tea is the best development, but encouraging the next generation will lead to even greater development .
This year marks my 11th year as a Gogo-no-Tea Advisor, and I am truly grateful to have been able to participate in support activities for tea gardens in this way.
This year, we will have a Sri Lankan tea tour twice, in July and October .
I would like to see the children enjoying the books I donated.
