sri lanka tea
I spoke with Ranjit on the phone this morning. Due to the dry season and little rain over the past month, yesterday's Sri Lankan TV news reported that black tea production had plummeted. As of yesterday, 50 tea plantations and factories have stopped operating. ~~~~~~
From December to February, due to the seasonal winds blowing from the Bay of Bengal, the west side of Kandy and Colombo is in a dry season. It seems that If there is no rain, tea leaves will grow slower and yield less. ~~~~~~
The time to buy new tea is approaching, so it is unpredictable. The weather is just praying and there is no means, but this is the crops,,.
Once again I feel the difficulty of obtaining fresh tea. ~~~~~~~
This time's fresh tea is a little late, but please understand such circumstances.
