It is about 600 meters above sea level, 4 hours by car from the city of Galle. There are elementary schools, junior high schools, and high schools in the tea plantation, but there are children who are supposed to go from the age of 5 but cannot go to the school because they have to walk many kilometers to school. It would be nice if there were more branch schools nearby, but building a large number of schools with a large number of teachers is a difficult problem. 
A teacher was teaching children to read and write in a ruined building. The walls are crumbling, the ceiling is empty, and there are no chairs or desks. I sat on the floor and studied. 
And today (September 18th), the building was finally repaired and completed. "AI GAKKOU" school. Although it was raining, the whole village gathered. All are freshmen. . . I wore a uniform for the first time today. The tea factory company gave them uniforms... The children are very nervous. Only the eyes twinkle... The people of the village look at the beautifully finished school building and come to see if they can send their children to school. Both children and parents are full of expectations. .
