This morning, in Ouchembele, where James Taylor was born,
A Christmas card and a calendar for next year have arrived from the village.
Patricia sent it to me.
She is the proprietress of the pub when I first went to the village.
This church was where Taylor attended until he left the village at the age of 16.
He worked as an assistant teacher in the church teaching children.
The villagers still gather at the same church today.
Christmas Mass is also held here.
After searching for the remains of Taylor's birthplace, Patricia's
I had a late lunch at the pub.
I will never forget the taste of her rustic beef stew pie.
Eating it on a cold day like this will warm you up.
The tailor may have known the stew's taste because it's rustic.
I received a blessing for next year from the village of tailors.
